I was at work last Thursday (3/19) and my friend told me James Franco was filming down the block. On my break I went on the set and saw him leave his trailer but because it was raining and a paparazzo was chasing him, there was no way I could have met him. After my shift ended I went on the set again and was able to get a picture with him :) I took it by myself with my cell phone and it didn't come out too bad.

I have to start off by saying - yes, I'm mildly obsessed with Chelsea Handler. She is a hilarious woman and I watch her show religiously. She had a show in Carnegie Hall yesterday. I couldn't get tickets because they were sold out but my friends and I stuck around to meet her. We met her as well as another comedian who is frequently on her show, Brad Wollack. They were both very friendly. Chelsea stopped and took time to sign books and take pictures. The crowd was CRAZY. Here are some of the pictures.

First off...Happy New Year everyone! It's been a while...

I attended Perez Hilton's book signing tonight at Borders in the Columbus Mall in the city. He was very funny and sweet to all his fans even after about two straight hours of signing autographs and taking pictures. I have a bunch of pictures and a video of part of his reading but will not be able to post all of them tonight. I've been extremely busy lately...so busy I haven't really been able to visit many sets or things of that sort. I still have to tag the pictures from the set of Last Night. My sister, my friend, and I had a very, very long day/night. We were all extras in the movie, The Winning Season, filming now throughout NYC. It stars Emma Roberts, Sam Rockwell, Margo Martindale, and Connor Paolo among others. The shoot took place at Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx. Filming started around 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon and ended at about 4:00 AM Monday morning. According to IMDB, the movie is a comedy centered on a has-been coach who is given a shot at redemption when he's asked to run his local high school's girls basketball team. I'm not going to say what happened in the scenes we filmed but I will say being an extra is not as easy as I thought. Even though it can get very tiring after a while, it was great fun and I enjoyed being a part of it. I managed to snap a couple of pics on set using my sidekick and I was able to get one with Margo Martindale who is an extremely nice woman.

If any of you reading this are ever in SoHo, check out PetalBelle on 150 Sullivan Street between Prince and W. Houston. It just opened a few months ago. It's a place that has everything from waffles to homemade dessert. Here's what's listed on the back of the business card:

My friend Vanessa and I walked past it while we were looking for the trailers and got the pleasure of meeting the owners who were just closing up for the night. They are a really sweet married couple, Elisa and Mike, and everything in the place looks absolutely delicious. I can't wait to get me some waffles! :)

Last Night

My friend and I visited the set of the movie, Last Night, a few hours ago in SoHo. Keira Knightley was there and she looked absolutely flawless. We saw her from across the street...they were filming inside a restaurant. Word on the street is Keira isn't too fond of the paps...apparently she won't leave the set because they bother her. I'm guessing it has to be true because I heard it from a number of different people. I'm kind of bummed my friend and I didn't get to meet her. We had to leave the set early because we both have class in the morning. We're definitely going to keep trying so stay tuned :)

Lindsay Lohan!

On Thursday, September 4th my friends and I visited the Ugly Betty set in Chelsea. The no parking signs said they'd be there from 9PM - 1AM. I got there around 10 and saw America and Vanessa filming a scene. I asked around to see if Lindsay was there but no one knew. Once they were done with the scene, they started moving the equipment down the block. I asked a crew member if Lindsay was going to be shooting any scenes and he said yes! I got extremely excited because I've been trying to see her ever since I found out she was guest starring.

We found her trailer and waited outside. This man said she was already filming so we went to the other set two blocks away. She was rehearsing a scene where she was hailing a taxi. When that was done about 10 minutes later, she started walking to the set. My friend and I walked in the same direction as her on the other block so we could ask for a picture, but when we crossed paths we noticed she was on her blackberry. I asked anyway. The bodyguard told me no. I was bummed. We went back to her trailer.

By now I'd say it was probably around 11PM already. We saw Samantha get out of a car and go into the trailer and also got to meet Dina Lohan. She was walking to the trailer and I asked to take a picture with her. She agreed but asked that we hurry up because the paparazzi was out and she didn't want them to say mean things about anyone. Before she left she said, "Have a good night guys! Love ya, bye."

I must say that Lindsay took forever in her trailer. She didn't come out until maybe an hour and a half later. When she did, I asked her for a picture again but she said, "I'm sorry. I can't right now." When she and Sam started walking down the block, everyone walked with them. My friends and I were standing no less than 3 feet away from them.

I have a lot of stuff to upload but I've been so busy with college and work that I haven't had the time to do all of it. Hopefully when I get my laptop next week everything will get uploaded way faster.

On another note, I visited the set of Ugly Betty today and got to meet Lindsay Lohan. Pictures, videos, and stories will be up soon!

I also got the pleasure of meeting David, the founder of The Elephant Project. He raises money by selling celebrity photos and autographs and donates all the proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association. I'm trying to get him on Live with Regis and Kelly ;)

When Katie Holmes was shopping with Suri last Sunday in Greenwich Village it was absolutely crazy. People crowded the store window and took up most of the block surrounding it. As I was watching everything go down I was shocked and felt so horrible that they chase her around like that. I mean people were even sitting on other people's shoulders just to get a glimpse of her. As she came out of the store about 45 minutes later, the crowd swarmed her and all I got to see was the top of her head.

Okay so I was officially 'Jonafied' for a day [8.12.08]. A lot of following went down on my part and it was all pretty fun. I went to TRL, the Apple Store in SoHo, and their hotel in hopes of getting a picture with them. My hopes were quickly shot down when I saw the crowds of people at each and every spot. Most of the pictures I took suck because people kept pushing me whenever the JoBros were in sight...here is one good picture and a video:

Gossip Girl set....for the 3rd time

Gossip Girl was filming today around Chinatown...a lot happened today so here's the rundown:

When my friend and I got there Ed was just coming out of a van to go to his trailer.
We stopped him and asked for a picture, he said yes.
A lot of people were already waiting at the hair/make up trailer to see the cast members.
Blake's mom, sister (Robyn Lively), brother-in-law (Bart Johnson), and their kids were outside as well as in and out of the trailer.
All were very nice.
I didn't realize Bart Johnson was from High School Musical until after we left the set.
I knew who Robyn was because Teen Witch was my favorite movie as a kid.
Bart thinks it's cool to see "Blake become so famous."
When I asked Robyn for a picture and told her that I love Teen Witch she turned to Blake and said, "Blake, look who's taking pictures now."
They both laughed.
Penn went out of his way to make sure that two young girls got a picture with him.
Everyone was taking pictures...including GG crew and Bart.

Last week when they were filming at STK my friend and I were on set and got to talk to Blake's dad, Ernie. He's very down to earth and tried his best to get us a picture with Blake but the paparazzi wouldn't let it happen. Earlier in the day the paps and Blake's bodyguard got into an argument about homosexuality, friends, and other things like that so tension was pretty high. It was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

Chris and Rihanna like Golden Crust

So I was walking down 14th and 6th after getting my Red Mango fix and this guy comes out of nowhere asking my friend and I if we like Chris Brown. We say yes and he then tells us that Chris and Rihanna are a few stores down at Golden Crust. We don't believe him at first so since it's in our direction we head over there anyway. When we get there we realize he was telling the truth.

We walk in (the place is empty except for Chris, Rihanna, their entourage, the staff, and two other people) and see Chris first dressed casually in a black shirt and sweats. When his bodyguard sees us look in his direction he tries to hide them by standing in front of them. It didn't work so well. I was pretending to look at the menu and this is how it goes:

Bodyguard: "She's frontin'...she ain't gonna buy food, she's already eating ice cream!"
Me: "It's not ice cream, it's frozen yogurt."
Bodyguard: "blah blah blah I think I've seen you yesterday and the day before that and the day before that blah blah blah blah you can order right there"
Me: "I know where to order."

He was being an ass. I was getting annoyed. My friend felt uncomfortable. We both didn't want to look like losers in front of two awesome people...so we left.

That whole situation was so random, cool but random.

Ugly Betty

Yesterday, my friend and I visited the set of Ugly Betty on Centre Street in NYC. I went in hopes of catching a glimpse of Lindsay Lohan but it didn't happen and that is another long story in itself. We got to the location around 9PM (they were setting up for interior shots at the time we were there) and the actors hadn't arrived. This really kind production assistant told us to stick around if we wanted to see something cool. Five minutes later we saw Vanessa Williams and Rebecca Romijn come out of a small van and walk to set. We got smiles from both of them. We waited some more for America, who came out of a similar van with Ashley Jenson. America was very nice and looked kind of shocked that we were waiting around and asked for a picture with her (in a good way, I think). She is way shorter than I expected her to be. Before she and Ashley went inside to start filming they were goofing around in front of the building. She seems like a great and fun person to be around.

Question: Any idea why America might need a Betty double? I don't watch the show...

Yesterday my friends and I went to the set of Gossip Girl and saw Chace & Jessica who play Nate and Vanessa shoot a scene and got pictures with them. They were both very sweet and took pictures with fans after they wrapped for the day. The scene being filmed was them walking down 5th after their characters had a date.

So recently I've been so busy working and getting ready for college I haven't really been keeping up on visiting sets, which sucks. However, I've seen Liv Tyler and Michael Rapaport around the city and met Lauren Ambrose and Jason Bateman at my job. They were both very nice. Hopefully soon I'll visit a set just like old times because I sure do miss it! :)

My friend and I visited the set of All Good Things again on 38th and 8th in Manhattan yesterday and got to see the set as well as Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst filming a scene in a taxi. The movie is set in the 1980's and there were a lot of old fashioned cars. There were also pimps and prostitutes but they've been around forever. Ryan is so sweet and took pictures with everyone that asked (gave high-fives to people, too) even when a paparazzo was all up in his face. When I asked Kirsten for a picture, she gave me a sad face and said, "Not right now, sorry." & I don't blame her either because once the paparazzo saw her come out her trailer he literally ran to her so he could get his shots. He basically ruined it for us because after she said no I didn't want to bother her anymore...No picture with Kirsten, but we left with good memories!

So today, June 17th, my friends and I went to TRL again...it was crazy! So many stars were there...that means there were a lot of paparazzi and even more fans. My friends and I got to go to the actual taping today with Taylor Swift as a co-host and Anne Hathaway, Steve Carell, and Brittany Snow as guests. Before the show, however, we got to see Delta Goodrem, Meagan Good, Verne Troyer, Romany Malco, and Rihanna.

So today, June 16th, my friends & I tried to get into TRL but there weren't enough wristbands left so sadly we got turned away. While we were there however, we got to take pictures with V.I.C. (he sings that song Get Silly), Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child, and Taylor Swift. I must add that while all of the people we met today were hella awesome & so sweet, Taylor was by far the sweetest. We were waiting for her for more than 3 hours & as soon as she came out she acknowledged us and asked us if we wanted to take pictures. It was pretty amazing.

We missed Uma the first time but when she was walking to the set again to do her talking & walking shots, we were able to talk to her. Uma is beautiful in person & really sweet. I'm glad I got to meet her.

So today when I got out of work (yes, I work now) sources told me that Motherhood was filming on Hudson and Christopher in Manhattan. On my way over to check it out, I came across the set for Veronika Decides to Die. Nothing was actually set up yet but the trailers and equipment trucks were there. The crew wasn't allowed to give me any information which I thought was a little weird. All I know is that Sarah Michelle Gellar is in it, and I found that out myself. After that discouraging attempt at getting any info, I found the Motherhood set. I spoke to a crew member and he said they were doing driving shots today and that Thursday is the last day of filming. It should take place between today and then around the same area. If I could've, I would've stuck around longer at both sets but it was extremely hot, I was so tired, and I had to jet home to get ready for a poetry showcase. Hopefully tomorrow I will see some actors in action :)

Today, June 5th, my friend and I visited the set of Everybody's Fine on the lower east side of Manhattan. We got to see Robert De Niro and a woman acting in a scene where they walked up and down stairs to an apartment. The first time we tried to get a picture with Robert, he was walking out of his trailer and talking on his cell but he told us to wait for him because he'd take a picture with us when he returned. When he got out of the car to go back to his trailer about 30 minutes later, he remembered we were waiting for him and took the picture with us. Below are some pictures. Waiting on line in front of a movie theater in Chelsea, my friends & I saw Adam LaVorgna (I know him as Mary's boyfriend from 7th Heaven) walk by. He's covered in tattoos and is still pretty hot.

I haven't been on a movie set in a while because of finals & I'm pretty bummed about it. I will definitely be hitting up spots next week!

Yesterday, May 19th, my friends & I were fortunate enough to meet four celebrities and take pictures with three. On the set of the movie When in Rome in Central Park, we saw Kristen Bell, Anjelica Huston, Will Arnett, and Dax Shepard. Kristen and Angelica were shooting a scene in front of the lake at the Angel Cafe and while Will was getting interviewed, Dax was goofing off and "disrupting" it by pretending to put on Will's make up and throwing candy bars at him. Again we heard for the 5th time that Kristen doesn't like the whole taking pictures thing. I asked her when she was walking my way with Dax & she said yes so Dax actually took that picture for us with two cameras :)

Today, May 15th, I had the pleasure of meeting Meryl Streep on the set of her new movie Julie & Julia in Manhattan. The same man that didn't want me to talk to Amy Adams was there walking with Meryl wherever she went. He shot us down the first time we tried to approach Meryl, but the second time he didn't get the chance. Meryl was very nice and actually walked to the bench where my friends and I were sitting because I think she knew we were waiting for her. The mean man ended up taking the picture when we asked (hahaha). It was very nice of him to take both pictures of us with Amy and Meryl for me :)

Today after the Sean Bell march in Brooklyn, my friend & I went to see if they were doing any outside scenes for the movie The Taking of Pelham 123. When we got there John Travolta was sleeping in his trailer. We found out that they were going to start filming in the train station a little after rush hour, so when Luis Guzman and John Travolta were getting ready to start filming we got to take pictures with them. Both men were very sweet and took pictures with all the fans that asked.

Apparently Kristen does not like to take pictures with fans because when I asked what seemed to be her assistant (woman next to her in the video) if we could she said, "Well she doesn't really like that and she's not feeling very well." Could've been true, but Kristen looked rather cheerful and friendly. I guess I asked at a bad time.

The day before my birthday, April 17th, my friends & I got the chance to meet and take pictures with Andy Garcia & Hayden Christensen while they were filming their new movie New York, I Love You! We also got to see Rachel Bilson for a few seconds but the paparazzi kind of ran at her & startled her so she stayed inside for the rest of the time I was there...so I couldn't even get a picture of or with her. Damon Dash also popped up out of nowhere & took some pictures for the paparazzi, with fans, and Hayden. Both Andy & Hayden were gentlemen. Hayden even recorded a belated birthday message on this girl's cellphone for her sister. It was pretty cute. This was the best pre-birthday...ever.

He's gorgeous in person & very friendly. When I asked him if I could take a picture with him, he kindly turned to me and said that the time "wasn't ideal." He had a swarm of paparazzi and squealing girls chasing after him, so I didn't take it personally.

Yesterday, April 10, 2008, I got the pleasure of meeting Amy Adams in SoHo! If I were to write down the whole story as to how I got there & what events occurred I'd take more than a half hour but here are some of the most important things.

My friend & I arrived in Soho asking everyone and anyone what time Julie & Julia was going to be filming. There were signs and lights everywhere but no cameras. After more than an hour, we came across a trailer with the name Julie Powell on it. I knew that was Amy's character's name so we waited in front of it for about another hour hoping to catch a glimpse of her & maybe get a quick picture. The truck drivers & crew members we started talking to said how nice Amy was & that she'd take a picture with us no doubt. When her assistant came & brought her 2 dogs into the trailer we knew she was on her way.

When she finally arrived she walked by so quickly that we couldn't even ask her for a picture. I instantly noticed her new hair do & she greeted us with a smile. After about another half hour she finally came out of her trailer for a dress rehearsal. We tried to approach her but she was talking on her cell phone & this mean man was trying to keep us away from her (he wasn't her bodyguard ... we actually met her bodyguard & he was really nice).

She continued walking down the block so we decided to follow her because we wanted to see her in action practicing some scenes. When this one guy walked onto the set by mistake & asked her who Amy Adams was she jokingly replied she didn't know but then later revealed her true identity :) Surprisingly, not many people even knew who she was and when they finally did realize who my friend & I were talking about, they knew her as the sister from the Wedding Date rather than for her roles in Enchanted or Junebug.

Once she finished what she was doing about 20 minutes later we realized she was going back to her trailer. We followed her, another female who I'm guessing is also an assistant, & the mean guy down the block. I ran across the street to get to her & asked politely if my friend & I could take a picture with her. She said it was alright & the mean guy who tried to stop me from even getting to her took it for us. She is really friendly & pretty in person & I'm so extremely happy I was able to meet her! Waiting for 5 hours was well worth it.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

On April 2, 2008 my friends and I watched Hugh Dancy and Isla Fisher film their upcoming Disney movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic, on 56th & 5th in NYC. Hugh looked extremely handsome & Isla looked absolutely gorgeous. They were filming in front of a hot dog stand & Isla was jumping up and down excitedly (for reasons I don't know...I couldn't hear her exact lines). It was so much fun & the paparazzi so tried to recruit me! My friends & I were running up and down the block snapping pics while they were just standing there. They said they'd be happy to give their cameras to us :)
